Ann-Sofie Claesson

In Ann-Sofie Claesson's art, universal subjects such as time and memory, identity and kinship are central and recurring. Claesson is based on black and white photographs usually taken by her deceased grandfather. She has for a long time returned to the image archive and processed it by combining painting with different image media and expressions. The works seem to be rooted in existential issues of life and death and serve as a reminder of the transience of time.

Ann-Sofie lives and works in Fritsla

Jolanta Nowaczyk

“With the combination of the oil's fantastic properties and my ability to paint, I create art that touches and captures the unspoken. In each painting there is a connection to our fantastic nature with its strength and what it means to us humans. My ambition with each work is to give the viewer space for their own interpretations and reflections. ”

Jolantais a graduate in traditional painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland and has since 2014 worked as a full-time artist. Her art is sold both nationally and internationally.

Marianne Abelsson

“Glass and photography are what I do most right now. Capturing an expression or event using the changing properties of glass is extremely exciting. I like the refraction with the light and the transparency in the glass, but it is always a challenge to work with it because it is difficult to control the result. The glass never ceases to fascinate. ”

Marianne is a designer and artist, lives and works in Borås.

The exhibition runs from 28 August - 3 October.
