Abecita Art Museum, Borås

Abecita Art Museum closes from Monday 16/11 and is closed until 31 January 2021.

"We want to contribute to fewer people moving in society during this increasing spread of covid-19.

We follow the development and FHM's advice and will return with more information. Take care of you for so long, we miss you! "

With a special exhibition, Abecita Art Museum wants to pay tribute to ten of our competent and talented female photographers who are in Abecita Art Museum's collection. Throughout the history of photography, women have played a major role, but have nevertheless had a hidden place. Today it is different - books and exhibitions show the women of history as significant actors in the role of photographers, studio owners and assistants, and more and more contemporary female photographers are taking their place. In the exhibition, we meet different perspectives and expressions that capture and inspire.

The exhibition runs from 20 May 2020 - 23 May 2021.
