April 25, 2020 is the premiere for the Linnaeus Trail Run. Experience a completely new trail race that takes you out on paths and forest roads in the mighty wilderness on Rya Åsar. Discover winding paths, challenging slopes and fantastic views!

We offer two different courses of 9 kilometers or 21 kilometers. On both courses you are met by sections with a steep climb interspersed with easy-going sections where you can recover and enjoy (or yes, you might enjoy the uphills as well ?!)

Linnaeus Trail Run is a race for you who are used to trail runners. And for you who are a complete beginner. It is a race for all of you who increase the pace into the last and for all of you who want to go from time to time. Run alone or run together. Regardless of your style, we want to offer real running joy in the best place there is - in the forest!

Generally:
Start & finish are at Borås Arena, which is also the lowest point of the courses. Both coursesmeet parties with a steep climb where after a climb you get easy-going parties for your recovery. The slopes are fully runable, although most participants probably choose to join a party.

About the forest:
Large parts of the Linnaeus Trail Run trails run in the nature reserve Rya Åsar. This is characterized by wilderness-like spruce forest with small forest lakes. The area is crossed by a rich network of hiking trails, exercise tracks & forest roads. From the heights of Rya Åsar there is a steep slope down to the city of Borås. The slope is characterized in the north by dramatic cliffs in spruce forest and in the south by mixed forest with a large element of oak. In this area, the white anemones spread in the millions. White anemones that have just struck at the end of April.

The forest is owned and managed by the City of Borås. At present (December 2019), the City of Borås is carrying out some thinning and maintenance (removing spruce bark borer-infested trees, among other things) in the nature reserve Rya Åsar, where LinnaeusTrail Run. In order for you to experience the forest's finest paths & forest roads, we may make revisions to the courses we have planned for today.
